  Sometimes, healthy people die, get over it, they have a choice. Perhaps we should stop people from driving. Perhaps we should stop them from making any decisions, just let the government decide.

  In the early 1900's about 1/3 of children died from measles, polio and other diseases. Should the government have locked everyone up back then too? You people simply have no concept of risk since you've lived in a protected bubble for going on 70 years. Nobody is used to death anymore, back in the day, everyone would know someone who had lost a child or a parent, now, it's a rare occurrence, even with COVID, I have had nobody in my family die from COVID, some people lost an elderly person, we're still at VERY LOW death rates in comparison with any "real" pandemic (think cholera or plague). Go to Africa for a change, go to India for a change, there COVID is rampaging through and doesn't even make a blip on their radars because more children and adults die from preventable disease such as not having food and clean water than ever will from COVID.

  Every death is a tragedy, but there is no point in arguing about preventable disease. A lot of people die because they are so filthy rich, they're dying from "king's disease", even those we consider "poor" are dying from diabetes and gout and heart problems, yet nobody thinks we should control their lives over it.

  @Desirous: If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. Jeffrey Epstein, under video surveillance and on suicide watch just happens to have his cellmate disappear, the video disappear, the guards fall asleep and then commits suicide from a 0.5ft height when nothing he can hang himself with is supposed to even be in his cell.

  Same with Vince Foster, he was detailing everything in a journal in regards major corruption, preparing for a major Congressional investigation into HRC, the WSJ happens to write a hit piece on him and suddenly all evidence disappears when he commits suicide, tied up, wrapped in a bow for the FBI.

  dr. leanna wen is currently spreading the fallacy that unvaccinated persons should have vaccines mandated because they are like drunk drivers… they have the right to be drunk at home she says, but wanting to be part of society at large without being vaccinated is like driving drunk and putting others at risk.

  besides ignoring the science proving that persons who have had sars cov-2 have natural immunity that equals or exceeds anything that could be imparted from the mrna shot, without the side effects or need for boosters, ( sorry big pharma, you’ll be losing $$$ ) this illustration just smacks of illogical reasoning.

  it reminds me of the borg comparing getting baptized to getting your driver’s license.

  @Rocketman: The FDA says the same about the vaccines, there is not sufficient evidence to recommend its use, the FDA never approved it.

  What the media and those other media and half-scientific sources you claim say is about prevention of COVID, not about the treatment and they are intentionally mudding the waters, presumably on behalf of their corporate overlords. That is why I'm assuming Merck to be highly biased, as they are one of the vaccine providers. Selling a $5 OTC drug to only the sick is less attractive than a $25-75/dose vaccine to everyone. We know the WHO is highly biased, we know the government is highly biased, so why don't you point to an actual recent study like I did from a scientific journal.

  @Pete: that could indeed be the reason, or that they weren't going to support the narrative the commission wanted and thus their deaths were staged to look like suicide. It wouldn't be the first time, just ask Seth Rich or Jeffrey Epstein.

  It's quite telling we've only heard from left-wing leaning officers on the trial that had more comments about Trump than about the event.

  Regardless of the election, there have been plenty of riots last summer. Few were widely publicized and nowhere has there been a major uptick in suicide. A few people roaming around the halls of Congress sets them off?

  There were some minor scuffles, there was no violence done to the police (the case widely publicized was proven to be false), unlike Antifa and BLM protests where they literally attempted to murder police by setting fire to police stations while locking them in the building.

  Or maybe it has something to do with an investigation that seems to not be producing the answers they were looking for.

  Well now, if you don't care what the CDC has to say about it.

  Is it appropriate to let thousands die while natural immunity slowly develops ?

  The data shows natural immunity has already developed. It doesn't slowly develop, given the fast spread of COVID both Alpha and Delta variants, it's unlikely, unless you've been living in the woods on your own somewhere, that you haven't gotten contact with the disease, as such you have most likely developed COVID resistance.

  Either that or everyone has been lying about the spread of COVID last year and it is a lot less worse than the flu and it was never any danger except to the elderly, just like the flu is. You can't have it both ways.

  So... since we're talking about logical fallacies:

  - COVID is really bad and it spreads super fast and its a danger to everyone, especially once you get elderly, and we've reached herd immunity somewhere around January 2021. If you're in a group that is highly affected (elderly or immunocompromised) then you should get the shot if you haven't gotten COVID symptoms yet or you are really worried about it. The data would suggest this scenario.

  - COVID is not really bad and it doesn't spread fast and it lingers around without spreading, so you need a vaccine just in case you haven't gotten in contact with it yet so you don't accidentally spread it in the future. The data does not support this.

  If you believe the data or not, both cannot be true at the same time. It cannot have spread throughout the population in the way that it did if you are likely to still need a shot because you never got contact.

  @Rocketman: There is no correlation between vaccine rates and death rates.

  If COVID was such a threat if you're not vaccinated, with only 50% of the population vaccinated, you should still see similar levels and outbreaks amongst the unvaccinated. You don't.

  You don't see that due to natural immunity in the majority of the population. Even the CDC says that natural immunity develops automatically (https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/immunity-types.htm)

  There have been recent studies indicating at least 50-75% (depending on the model) of people currently not vaccinated have been exposed and may have developed natural immunity.

  The fact that Canada has problems dealing with people getting sick has more to say about their hospitals than about the disease. In the US, except for NYC state-run hospital (which were overran because Cuomo refused to pay for care at empty privately owned public hospitals), no hospitals were overrun.   You can prove that is false, because there would be a LOT more people in the hospital as the new variants are much faster and more optimized for spreading and infecting than previous variants.

  The fact is that there are a LOT less people in the hospital. Currently 49.4 percent of the country's population is vaccinated. We should be seeing at least HALF the cases we saw last year if COVID was still a threat. We see less than 10 deaths in moving averages for states that have opened up.

  hi all.. i'm 42 years old.

  i have had two jabs of the oxford-astrazeneca vaccine.. after my first jab i experienced flu-like symptoms - shivering, wanted to lie down in a dark room, etc.. i experienced no side effects after my second shot.. how about you?.

  how many jabs have you had?.

  I had a smaller dose of the mRNA vaccine during the trials, severe autoimmune reaction, injection side arm was red, hot and swollen for several days.

  Had several doctors analyze it, was told to ice it for the time being and that I was probably severely allergic to one of the compounds. As a result, I am not getting vaccinated right now until they find out what is causing severe reactions in some, Pfizer and CDC is refusing to share data on allergic reactions to compounds and FDA is just saying it's not an approved vaccine, so nobody is analyzing the data.

  No major other effects other than increased temperature and feeling tired the next day.
